ONLINE LESSONS...
anywhere in the world!
What instruments do you teach online?
I teach piano, music theory, improvisation and composition online, using Zoom.
How much do online lessons cost?
Online lessons are:
30 mins - £20
45 mins - £30
60 mins - £40
With the option to book regular lessons at the same times each week, or flexible lessons.
Do you offer a trial lesson?
Yes! The first lesson is an opportunity to meet each other, and to explore your musical goals and what hope to get from taking lessons. It's also an opportunity to test out using zoom for music and iron out an technical issues that come up. I offer a 50% discount for all online trial lessons.
What equipment will I need?
As a minimum, you will need an internet connection and a laptop or tablet. You'll also need to make sure you have the latest version of Zoom downloaded. A wired internet connection is ideal for preventing lag. A microphone and headphones would be helpful, but aren't necessary!
What if I'm not very technical?
Don't worry! Zoom is very straightforward to use and I am happy to help you find your way around the Zoom app if you've not used it before. During your trial lesson we will take some time to make sure you have the best set up for your lessons.
Are there any benefits to learning online?
Yes!! Having taught online since 2020, I have found the online format particularly beneficial for students who struggle with reading music as the shared screen is brilliant for isolating and annotating difficult sections!
